Discrete manual data synchronization
Use Discrete manual data synchronization to align the table data on the data record level or on the record's field level.
Synchronize table's data on the data RECORD level.
- Compare the data of the specified tables. See Compare Data
- Analyze the compare result and decide which record(s) you want to synchronize:
- To synchronize a single record, click anywhere on the row.
- To synchronize all records of the table, multi-select. There are several ways to multi-select:
- Press Ctrl and left-click.
- Multi-select all the different records on the right side by using the keyboard shortcut CTRL+A.
- Multi-select all the different record on the left side by using the keyboard shortcut CTRL+A.
NOTE: Multi-selection synchronization can only be made in direction. The green color indicates the source record. One of the direction keys is correspondingly unavailable.
- Determine whether you want to perform synchronizing or just create the synchronization script:
- Press Generate SQL toolbar button to execute the synchronization immediately. In this case the created script is displayed in the text editor registered in your system as the default text editor (Notepad, in most cases). The script can be edited, saved and executed later.
- Release Generate SQL toolbar button to create the synchronization script. In this case the synchronization is being performed immediately.
- Click one of horizontal arrows indicating the direction of the synchronization.
Synchronize table's data on the record's FIELD level.
- Compare data of the specified tables. See Compare Data
- Double-click a red entry. The Data Differences window is displayed.
- Select one of the red entries. The horizontal arrows become available.
- Click one of horizontal arrows indicating the direction of the synchronizing.
- Use the Commit or Cancel buttons of the window toolbar to save or cancel the changes.
Commit/Rollback changes.
Press Commit toolbar button to save all the changes. If the Commit button was not pressed and some changes were done, the
Commit/Rollback Changes dialog is displayed when trying to close the window.
- Select the needed Commit/Rollback operation and press OK button to perform it.
- Press Rollback All button to cancel all the changes and close the Differences window. All the changes will be lost.
- Press Cancel button to cancel the window closing.
