Compare Data

The "Compare Data" option allows compare data of Tables, Views, Virtual Tables or Columns data.

1. Set-up Comparison and check SQL Vendor Specific Options
2. Check Convert Master check box (under the main tool bar) on the Source database side. See Conversion Rules
3. On both sides (trees), Connect to Database (one database on each side)
4. On each side select the table/view/virtual table you want to use. If you want to compare columns, expand table/view/virtual table node and select the columns.

1. Right-click the object, you want to compare data of. Select the relevant object on each side. (Objects can be from different types)
2. From the menu, select Compare->Data OR From the mane menu select Compare->Table/View->Data
   OR
   Use Compare Table/View data icon from the tool bar
   OR
   Drug one table onto another and use Compare Data menu

If Comparison Options are configured to save the result to an output file, you will be asked to provide the file name. For more information, see Comparison Options

• If the compared objects have identical data, only the information message is returned.
• If the objects have different data, the "Data Differences" dialog will open
  Grid contains lines with different colors:
  • Red font – different data
  • Blue font – record exist only in one of compared objects
  • Black font – identical information
