Compare Indexes
The "Compare Indexes" option allows comparing indexes, defined for a specific table
Before you execute comparison:
- Set-up Comparison and check SQL Vendor Specific Options
- Check Convert Master check box (under the main tool bar) on the Source database side. See Conversion Rules
- On both sides (trees), Connect to Database (one database on each side)
- Expand Tables node on both Database Connections (one connection on each side)
- On each side select the table you want to use
To compare the indexes:
- Right-click on the table name (on one of sides)
- From the mouse menu, select
Compare->Indexes

From the mane menu select
Compare->Table/View->Indexes

Use Compare Table/View

Drug one table onto another and use Compare Indexes menu
If Comparison Options are configured to save the result to an output file, you will be asked to provide the file name. For more information, see Comparison Options
Understanding the Comparison report:
- If the Indexes, defined for tables, are identical, only the information message is returned
- If the tables have different indexes, "Indexes Differences" dialog will open
Grid contains lines with different colors:
- Red font – different indexes
- Blue font – index defined only for one table or column used as a part of index only on one side
- Black font – identical information
