Compare Structure

The "Compare Structure" option allows comparing all columns properties for Table or View.

1. Set-up Comparison and check SQL Vendor Specific Options
2. Check Convert Master check box (under the main tool bar) on the Source database side. See Conversion Rules
3. On both sides (trees), Connect to Database (one database on each side)
4. Expand Tables node on both Database Connections (one connection on each side)
5. On each side select the table/view you want to use

1. Right-click on table/view name (on one of sides)
2. From the mouse menu, select Compare->Table/View Structure
   OR
   From the mane menu select Compare->Table/View ->Structures
   OR
   Use Compare Table/View structure icon from the tool bar

OR
Drug one table onto another and use Compare structures menu

• If the columns are identical, only information message is returned
• If the columns have different configurations, Table Structure Differences dialog will open.
  Grid contains lines with different colors:
  • Red font – property's value differs between compared columns
  • Blue font – property exists only in a column from one of the sides
  • Black font – property's values are identical in compared columns
