Add Database Connection to an existing Workspace

There are two ways to add database connection to the workspace:
  1. Add new database connection
  2. Import database connection from other workspace

To add new database connection:

  1. Use Add database connection from the File menu
    Or
  2. Use Add Database Connection icon on the tool bar
    Or
  3. Right-click on Database Connections node in the Workspace tree
  4. Select Add Database Connection.
    It does not matter from which (left or right) tree you add the database connection – all connections shown on both sides.
  5. Database Connection wizard is displayed
  6. Follow wizard steps to Create Database Connection

To Import database connection from other workspace:

  1. Use Import database connection from the File menu
    Or
  2. Use Import Database Connection icon on the tool bar
    Or
    Right-click on Database Connections node in the Workspace tree and select Import database connection.
    It does not matter from which (left or right) tree you add the database connection – all the connections are shown on both sides.
  3. In the opened dialog search for the workspace from which you want to import the connection (workspace file extension is "cdb").
  4. Dialog with list of database connections will be shown.
  5. Select the database connection(s) you want to import – check the check box near the database connection name.
  6. Press OK.
