Create New Workspace

  1. Open Create Workspace wizard:
    Use Create a new workspace link in the Getting Started area on the left panel
    OR
    Use File->New Workspace from the main menu
    OR
    Use New Workspace icon icon on the tool bar
  2. Specify Workspace name
  3. Set path for workspace location
  4. Click Next to proceed with workspace configuration
    There are two options available
    1. You can create an empty workspace and add database connections later to this workspace
    2. You can add database connections immediately to the newly created workspace (this option is recommended)
  5. Choose Yes and click Next to proceed and create database connections for the workspace.
  6. Use instructions in Create Database Connection from step #3
  7. You can see the temporary summary of Workspace definition, including one database connection.
    You can Finish now the workspace configuration or proceed and Create New Connection.
    Generally, working with Cross-Database software, you want to connect to at least 2 different databases.
    The suggested step now is to add a second connection to the workspace.
  8. Click Add New Connection
  9. Repeat step #6
  10. Click Finish
The workspace with newly created database connections is opened
